Pam began unschooling back in 2002 when her three children left school mid-year. Once she and her husband discovered that the kids weren’t legally obligated to go to school, they figured, why wait? And it turns out, living with children who are free to learn has been the most amazing and joyful experience of her life.
Participating in online unschooling conversations over the years sparked a love for writing that had been extinguished many years before. Inspired by her children’s enthusiastic pursuit of their interests, Pam began writing for a wider audience and has since been published in Toronto Life magazine, Life Learning Magazine, The Homeschooler, Our Schools / Our Selves, and the peer-reviewed Journal of Unschooling and Alternative Learning. She has also been a regular contributor to The Natural Parent Magazine since 2014.
Pam also hosts the Exploring Unschooling podcast, producing weekly episodes since January 2016. You can find the episodes in your favourite podcast player, on YouTube, and on Soundcloud.
